Kisser's Embrace

These two were kissing right in front of The Dark Knight premiere’s red carpet for a while already but slightly in an odd position. Then suddenly they went for it again just slightly turned towards us. A quick snap gave us this nice result.

Beautiful shot. I think that the only thing that it is missing is some post-production. The image seems to be quite tilted (even if this can be only because of a non-straight line behind them) and I would have loved them to be a little more "pushed out". Go for a monochrome, adjust the levels and add a vignette to make them stand out from every other things and I bet this photo would look Gorgeous (more than now). Bravo Cristiano, a very nice shot! Seen in my contacts' photos. (?)

Thanx for the compliment. I am actually pretty sure that the photo is not tilted. The fence in the back is set diagonal to the viewport so that might give it a weird feel. Personally though, I agree on bringing them out a bit further. I won't go for monochrome, simply because I love colours (have a look at my Notting Hill Carnival set if you wish to understand why). I might need to do some didge and burn to make the background stand out less.

BTW: How do you add a vignette easily on Aperture?

Cristiano, I do not think the photo is tilted, but the sensation is that one. I do not know if you can do anything to change the feeling. Colors VS Black and White is always a battle, keep it as you love, but give it a try, just for yourself! Regarding the vignette in Aperture just go on the Inspector Hub -> Adjustments and click on the + button on the top right corner. You will see all the adjustments available (but not automatically defined). I usually use "Edge Sharpener", "Vignette", "Exposure", "Enhance", "Levels" and "Monochrome Mixer" Cheerio Seen in my recent comments. (?)

Ok, I quickly redid the photo with your tips (except for monochrome). I like it better so. Thanx for the help.

@Pretty Little Things: Actually the camera did not matter that much, but the lens did. The photo is shot at 175mm
